Job Description:
Woody’s Tree Service is looking for a hardworking and dependable Ground Crew Member to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting climbers and equipment operators while ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position with opportunities to learn new skills, advance within the company, and grow in the tree care industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist climbers and operators during tree removals and pruning.
- Drag brush and feed material into the chipper.
- Operate chainsaws and other tree service equipment (training provided).
- Help with rigging ropes and lowering limbs safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Assist with loading/unloading equipment and materials.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with crew members to maintain safety.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs).
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines.
- Tree service or outdoor labor experience is a plus, but not required.
